Your mind is quite powerful and you really really need to know how to take care of your mind. If you have been feeling quite congested and suffocated internally due to life changes, then there is something that your mind is bothered about. Just like how your cabinet or rooms need to be cleaned on a regular basis, the same way your mind needs to be detoxified. You need to get rid of the mental baggage that you keep accumulating every now and then due to various reasons. In order to lead a focused, amazing and productive life, you need to declutter your mind on a regular basis.

1) Keep your priorities right:

You cannot keep running a life full of responsibilities and doing stuff here and there. You need to know what is important for you in your life. What works for you and what doesn’t – needs to be known to you. You need to come up with action plans that will help you meet your immediate, short-term, and long-term goals. There is no one who can help you to set things right apart from YOU alone. So, create a list of stuff that matters to you the most and get them done accordingly.

2) Write a journal regularly:

People who write and express themselves well in a journal have far better chances to analyze and organize their thoughts in their minds. Sometimes we get stressed out and anxious about our past and future events and that spoils our present times. We need to release our bottled-up emotions on a regular basis to stay away from depression and anxiety. Thus, write in your book or journal on a regular basis.

3) It is okay to err:

When you accept yourself and your flaws as they are, you are able to overcome them tactfully. You need to learn to accept yourself and love yourself the way you are. This will help you understand your life’s goals, and life’s mistakes and also learn to let go of the past. Removing unnecessary thoughts, and freeing up mental space can help you reduce your fears and concerns and create a positive atmosphere.

4) You are not a multi-tasker if that causes you stress:

I know that multitasking is the need of today’s changing times. Multi-tasking can help many people get their work done quickly and thus, you may be even forced or encouraged by others to try doing this, that, and that as well. But that’s not how life works for you if you are quite stressed and depressed because of your multi-tasking roles and responsibilities. Just keep a simple to-do list, and write it realistically so that you feel good when you achieve your tasks.

5) Share your thoughts with yourself and even others:

Keeping your emotions and feelings inside without expressing them to others can put you in major trouble. You don’t want to be known as a people-pleaser all your life. You need to be known as the hero of your story who goes through ups and downs in life without hurting or self-sabotaging yourself. And if you want to achieve this, you need to be a good sharer with yourself and also others.
