Dubai and other parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are experiencing heavy rainfall this week. Due to the severe weather, several flights have been canceled, schools and offices are closed.
The weather department has issued an orange alert, indicating rainfall on Thursday and Friday. Employees in Dubai asked to do work from home (WFM) on May 2 and May 3.
On Thursday, Emirates cancel multiple flights and other airlines like Flydubai, IndiGo, Vistara, and SpiceJet delayed.
Last month, heavy rains were the heaviest recorded since 1949, causing major floods. Many people lost property due to this severe weather.
The rains are expected to ease by the weekend, residents are advised to take precautions and follow update on the weather.
