The resignation of BJP’ MLAs are on a go mode. After Mukesh Verma, a BJP MLA from Shikohabad (Firozabad), left BJP, another BJP MLA, Vinay Shakya, resigned as well, claiming that Swami Prasad Maurya is their leader and that he will support him.
“Our leader and the voice of the oppressed is Swami Prasad Maurya.” “I am with him,” Shakya wrote in his resignation letter to the party. Verma also wrote in his resignation letter that he will support Maurya in whatever decision he chooses. “Swami Prasad Maurya is our spiritual leader. We will support him in whatever decision he chooses. Many more leaders will join us in the coming days, “he stated.

Before his resignation from the party, Vinay Shakya’s daughter filed an allegation that her father had been taken forcefully to Lucknow to join SP. But with a complete investigation, police declared it was wrong by personally talking with the MLA and found him safe.
On Thursday, Vinay Shakya’s resignation is a big twist in UP’s election, especially for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Meanwhile, the assembly election of Uttar Pradesh would go on 7 phases and the result will be declared on 10 March.
