On Thursday, social media company Twitter has announced a series of campaigns that aim to empower people with the correct information before they give their votes in the upcoming Assembly elections in five states. Between 10 February 2022 to 7 March 2022, the assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh.

The elections will be organized in seven phases and the counting of total votes will be on 10 March 2022. Overall, the elections will be conducted for 690 assembly seats and the number of people who are eligible to give their votes includes 18.3 crore people, which also has 8.5 crores, women in these five states.
