So, as everyone knows the festive season is one of the peak seasons in India for travel and tourism. Yeah, you read it right! So to monetize on the opportunity, hospitality technology company OYO on Monday announced that it will include 750 hotels on its platform in the coming three months in over 35 leisure markets. This initiative is to tap the festive and winter tourism season in India.

So, if you browse the OYO platform in the coming months, then you will find a list of many new hotels under OYO’s premium brands such as Palette, Townhouse, Townhouse Oak, and Collection O, announced the company in a statement to the media.

Travel tips for the joyous monsoon season

OYO said that it has ideas to focus on its main markets such as Goa, Jaipur, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Katra, Puri, Shimla, Nainital, Udaipur, and Mount Abu for the new hotel addition.

The company’s expansion in these leisure markets also supports its mission to deliver quality accommodations and remarkable experiences to tourists. The incorporation of new hotels will not only improve tourism but also give jobs to local people, said OYO Chief Merchant Officer, Anuj Tejpal.

The company also recollected the latest government report in which the number of foreign tourists who arrived in India in 2023 first six months is 

Citing a recent government report, OYO said the number of foreign 106 percent more than the figure for the same period last year.

After all the coronavirus pandemic is almost over and the tourism industry’s low period has also concluded. So, the company wants to encash the most important tourism season, which is considered the high period from October to January. It will also notice a combination of local and foreign tourists in India for the tourism and hospitality industry.

OYO also announced it has launched a stay now pay later (SNPL) option to give people more options to plan their travel and manage their payment options accordingly. SNPL also gives customers a credit limit of Rs 5,000 which can be paid after 15 days of their travel period.

Obviously, this high season also includes many holidays due to the festivals all across the country.
