Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s security has been increased to the Y+ category. This is after the actor complained that he has reportedly got death threats. The government of Maharashtra has made the move to increase the actor’s security to the Y+ category as Shah Rukh wanted the same.

ANI reported that Shah Rukh filed a written complaint to the Maharashtra government. He also alleged that he has been getting death threat calls after the release of his successful movies Pathaan and Jawan. The actor was before given security by two police constables.

As per a report, the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) informed all the police commissionerates, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to provide “Y+ with an escort scale of security to the actor with immediate effect. The communication’s date was 5 October 2023.
It is also reported that security has risen because of the latest imminent and possible threats to the actor. So, what does the Y+ category include? Well, Shah Rukh will be getting 11 security personnel that will including six commandos, four police personnel, and a traffic clearance vehicle. There will be policemen stationed at his Mumbai home i.e. Mannat.
The order also informed that all commissioners and superintendents of police in the state of Maharashtra will be making sure that the actor’s security is in place during his visits, engagements and being in their particular regions so that no unfortunate incident happens.
This move comes after there were protests against Shah Rukh in August 2023 as he endorsed online gaming apps. In March 2023, two men broke into Mannat premises by climbing the outer wall.
One cannot deny that Shah Rukh Khan has successfully created a mark at the global box office. His September 2023 release Jawan has already made a box office record of Rs 1103.27 crores gross at the global level. Also, his first film of 2023 called Pathaan has already crossed 1000 crore rupees at the global box office.
With two super-successful Bollywood films that have rocked the year 2023, it looks like Shah Rukh has now become the target for troubled times at the personal level.
Directed by Atlee, the film Jawan also featured Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt also made special appearances. The film was also released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra also added up to the cast. Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma.
Shah Rukh’s next film will be Dunki which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani alongside Taapsee Pannu. The 57-year-old actor also has Tiger 3 in his kitty. His daughter Suhana Khan will also be making her Bollywood debut in The Archies, which will be directed by Zoya Akhtar.
