Hyderabad: The Bharat Jodo Yatra which began from September 7 entered its 60th day on Sunday. The march led by Congress’s Member of Parliament from Wayanad is in Telangana these days. Rahul Gandhi began to walk at Alladurg in Medak district on Sunday morning. Just before the lunch break at Chintal Lakshmanpur, state Congress president A Revanath Reddy and other state leaders walked along with Rahul Gandhi through various parts of Alladurg headquarters.
The former Congress president interacted with locals during the march. He waved at people standing on both sides of the road. Some youngsters took selfies with him. Rahul Gandhi met representatives of various communities and got himself acquainted with their problems.
The march restarted at Nizam underpass at Narayankhed in the evening and ended at Mahadevpally for the day. The Congress MP will have a night-halt at Jukkul in Kamareddy district. The march begins its Maharashtra leg on Monday. The march, which will cover 3, 570km, has already covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The Yatra entered Telangana from Karnataka on October 23.
