How to reduce your stress levels during coronavirus pandemic

It would be stressful at times to deal with the changes going around due to the coronavirus lockdown imposed around you. Life is not normal and it is going to take more time than expected. Accepting changes easily is not everyone’s cup of tea. Change management has to be done in a tactful way for dealing with stress.

Here are some tips to lower your stress levels amid coronavirus pandemic:

1) Stressful situations and news updates can likely increase your stress hormones in the body. To keep the same in check, do some physical activity. As we are all locked down, hitting a gym or going for a brisk walk is not an option. But sweeping and wiping the floors, washing clothes and utensils are all a great way to do stretching exercises. Regular physical activity can also help you sleep better and improve your quality of the day.

2) Relax and calm down:
Thinking negatively and being reactive towards the situation is not going to be of any use. Certain things are not in your control. Let go. Focus your mind on good thoughts and practice relaxation techniques.

3) Express your thoughts to your closed one:
Physically meeting your close friend who stays far away from your is not possible. You can connect with your bestie over WhatsApp chat or phone call. Share your stressful thoughts and express what is causing you tension. Talking things out will help you put your problems in perspective and find possible solutions.

In case you are feeling unwell, consult a doctor. Taking proper rest and following guidelines to stay away from coronavirus infection can help you recover quickly.
