New Delhi: The latest cases of corona virus in Uttarakhand include a nine-month-old newborn baby who was infected due to contact with his father. The infant’s father came back from the programe of Tablighi Jamaat. Officials gave this information on Saturday. Officials did not reveal where the program took place or when the infection was confirmed in the infant’s father.
This baby is also involved in three new cases of corona virus infection in Uttarakhand on Friday. A spokesperson of the Health Department said that the number of infected persons has increased to 40 in the state following the latest cases. The infant is placed in an isolation ward in a school in Jakhan area of Dehradun. According to the spokesperson, the infant’s father is one of the ten members of Tabligi Jamaat who are being treated for Covid-19 in Dehradun.
He said that although corona infection in the infant’s mother has not been confirmed. Besides the infant, the corona virus infection which was confirmed on Friday included a female officer posted in the military hospital and a member of the Tabligi Jamaat in Nainital district.
