Take 60 women and 39 men into their custody; say sex rackets were running in those places
Ghaziabad (UP): The police swooped down on eight spa centres at a mall late Wednesday night, official sources said on Thursday.
The aim of the raid was to bust sex racket in the city being run in the name of spa centres.
During the raid, the police took 99 people, including 60 women, into their custody, official sources further said.
There were complaints from the residents and traders living in the area that some people were running sex rackets in spa centres.
On the grounds of complaints, the police surveyed the area and then carried out a raid.
A senior police officer said that an inquiry into the case was going on and a case had been registered against the spa owners under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
