Lucknow: Bitterness between Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav continues to remain strained, party sources said on Wednesday. Shivpal, national president of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) said that sycophants surrounded Akhilesh Yadav.
At a private function, Shivpal said Akhilesh Yadav is surrounded by sycophants who believe in flattering. To a question on contesting elections in alliance with the SP, he said that the Pragatisheel SP is the real SP, and no greedy person is associated with this party which keeps away from greedy people.
About the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election Shivpal said that the party had to decide whether it should contest alone or with the SP, but a decision would soon be taken. He, however, remained tight-lipped about whether Aparna Yadav would file nomination from Mainpuri seat from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
