Auraiyya (UP): The Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh never falls short of boasting that they have brought the number of criminal cases in the state, but a large number of crimes are taking place daily. Three persons belonging to a trader’s family were shot dead under mysterious circumstances in Auraiyya district of Uttar Pradesh, official sources said on Thursday. Those who were murdered included 52-year-old Sandeep Porwal, his 48-year-old wife Meera and 25-year-old son Shivam. They were murdered at their residence in Porwal colony.

Porwal’s younger son was sleeping on the ground floor. He found the bodies on Thursday morning. According to the police, a revolver was recovered from the house. Porwal was also the manager of Prakash Chandra Degree College. The incident may have taken place on Wednesday night, but the neighbours did not hear any sound of gunshots. The police have begun to probe the case.
