Suspected coronavirus patient dies in Maharashtra

Nagpur: A 71-year-old man died during treatment in Buldhana district of Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon. He had returned from Saudi Arabia and suspected that he was infected with the corona virus.

A hospital official said that the man died during treatment. He also had problems with diabetes and high blood pressure. His sample has been sent to the lab for examination. If it turns out to be a case of corona virus, it will be the third case of death from this deadly virus in the country.

Civil surgeon Premchand Pandit said that the patient was admitted to a private hospital a few days ago due to high blood pressure. The patient was shifted to the isolation ward of Buldhana General Hospital on Saturday morning after showing signs of corona virus. During treatment, the man’s condition deteriorated and he died in the afternoon. Doctor Pandit said, ‘His sample has been sent to the lab for examination. He died at 4.20 pm in the evening. The report of the lab is awaited.
