Death toll in Delhi violence reaches 32, arson late night

New Delhi: The number of people who died in violence in North East Delhi has reached 32 on Thursday. In this, 30 patients died in GTB Hospital while two people died in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. There is an atmosphere of peace in the violence affected areas on Thursday morning. On Wednesday, incidents of violence on two sides were reported at one or two places, but were immediately controlled.

On Wednesday, Indian Security Advisor Ajit Doval also visited the area where the violence took place and reviewed the situation. The nuisance disappeared on Wednesday due to the deployment of police and paramilitary forces in large numbers. The death toll from the violence reached 28 on Wednesday, while around 250 injured have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment, with more than 30 being reported to be critical.

More than 800 houses, shops, schools, factories and vehicles have been set ablaze during the violence within the last three days in North East Delhi. The maximum violence took place on Tuesday night at Shiv Vihar, Chaman Park and Brijpuri Road. Hundreds of houses, shops and vehicles were set on fire by throwing stones and firing.
