Shri Kshetra Tulja Bhavani Devasthan or Tulja Bhavani Temple is a Hindu temple located in Tuljapur in Osmanabad district of the state of Maharashtra in India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Tulja Bhavani temple is said to be one of the 51 Shakti Pithas and is located 45 km from Solapur.

Developed during the 12th century CE, the temple has been built by Maratha Mahamandaleshwara Maradadeva Kadamb. The temple’s management is held by the descendants of Maradadeva i.e. the Kadamb Bhope clan. The Goddess Tulja Bhavani is also renowned by names such as Durga, Parvati, Amba, Tulaja, Turaja, Tvarita, Jagadamba in various parts of the country.

People living in Maharashtra, Telangana, Nepal, and even Northern Karnataka consider Tulja Bhavani as an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. Bhavani means the giver of life, nature’s power, and creative energy source. Tulja Bhavani is believed to be the Mother Goddess who provides justice to her devotees by killing the asuras or negative energies that affect her devotees’ life.
The temple has been most-visited by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who is the founder of the Maratha kingdom, as per many reports. It is also said that Shivaji Maharaj used Bhavani kadga, the magical sword given to him by Goddess Tulja Bhavani in all his battles for getting freedom. Another Tulja Bhavani temple is located in Chittorgarh and another one in Gujarat. As per reports, it is believed that Goddess Tulja Bhavani came from Tuljapur to these two places in the 14th century, and thus, temples were built.
The Tulja Bhavani of Tuljapur is said to be the family Goddess of the Bhosale Royal family, Yadavs, and many families who belong to varied castes. The temple follows timely rituals even today in honor of the Goddess.
At 5 am, the drumming ritual i.e. Chaughada is performed where large drums are played in a loud noise. It is a way of offering prayers for the devotees. The Chaughadas are performed thrice a day. At around 5.30 am, the puja of Charantirtha i.e. sacred water being poured on the feet and mouth of the Goddess is performed. Aarti and Neivedya are offered by the priests to the Goddess.
At 9 am, the Goddess is given a holy bath with Panchamrut and curd Abhishekam. At noon, there is Dhup aarti conducted by singing bhajans and lighting dhup and karpur. At 6 pm in the evening, the Abhishekam is done on the goddess with Panchamruta and Gomukha water. At night, the songs are played along with offering neivedya of holy water from Gomukha and Tup, rice to the Goddess.
Tuesday, Friday, Sunday, Pournami, Navratri, and Durgashtami days are considered to be very auspicious to visit Tulja Bhavani temples.
