Recently, the Mahadev betting app has been making headlines. This controversial app is at the center of a massive investigation involving several well-known Bollywood celebrities.

What is the Mahadev Betting App?

The Mahadev betting app, also referred as Fairplay app, is an online platform for live betting. Users can place bets on sports like IPL cricket matches. However, the app has come under scrutiny for alleged illegal transactions and promoting gambling.

Recently, Sahil Khan know for his roles in movies like “Style” and “Aladdin,” arrested and currently in police custody.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor questioned last year for allegedly receiving payments to promote the app.

Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, Huma Qureshi were reportedly involved in promotions through questionable financial channels.

Tamannaah Bhatia summoned for questioning related to the app’s promotion.

Badshah, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez have been recorded by the Mumbai Police as part of the ongoing investigation.

The key allegations against the app and its promoters include, establishing illegal online betting platform, engaging in high-volume financial transactions illegally and using social media platforms for gambling activities.

The scam is estimated to involve around ₹15,000 crore. The investigation is ongoing, examining bank accounts, mobile phones, laptops, and other technical equipment of the involved parties.
