ABD will play in EPL instead of T20 World Cup

New Delhi: Former South African captain and veteran batsman AB de Villiers may have retired from international cricket, but his dominance in the shortest format of the game T20 still remains. He is seen showing his bat in all the major leagues around the world, due to which the South Africa Cricket Board has been trying to convince him to return to the team for this year’s T20 World Cup for a long time. However, De Villiers has given the same answer every time that he will take a decision on this, given his fitness and form around the World Cup.

Due to these reports, all the fans were waiting for de Villiers to return to international cricket but now it seems that de Villiers has made up his mind not to return. This is because AB de Villiers has agreed to join the Everest Premier T20 League to be played in Nepal this year.

The league is to begin on 26 September and the tournament will be held till 9 October. At the same time, the T20 World Cup will be inaugurated in India from October 14. In such a situation, it seems difficult for de Villiers to join the team in time, become part of the bio bubble protocol and practice, which shows that he will no longer return to international cricket.

At the same time, it has been proposed to revive the Everest Premier League starting 2020 due to Corona virus. Along with playing in it, de Villiers will become the first player to play in Nepal after India, Pakistan and Australia.
