Muzaffarnagar, February 16, 2024: Leading agrochemical company Dhanuka Agritech Limited has introduced a new herbicide ‘Tizom’ that will help farmers in controlling weeds in sugarcane crop and enhance farm profitability from Sugarcane cultivation.

Coinciding with introduction of Tizom, the company also launched 10 Mobile Audio-Video video vans which will move around in different parts of Uttar Pradesh to create awareness about benefits of using best agro-chemicals among sugarcane farmers in the state.

Commenting on the introduction of Tizom, Mr. Rahul Dhanuka, Joint Managing Director, Dhanuka Agritech Limited said, “Tizom is a powerful addition to our already strong sugarcane solutions, and it provides farmers with an effective tool to manage weeds and boost their income.

Introduced in collaboration with Nissan Chemical Corporation, Japan, ‘Tizom’ is a groundbreaking herbicide whose unique composition and properties promise to revolutionize weed control in sugarcane farming. Two key active ingredients of ‘Tizom’- Halosulfuron Methyl 6% + Metribuzin 50% WG – provide an effective solution for controlling a wide range of weeds, including narrow leaf weeds, broadleaf weeds and Cyperus rotundus. Thus, it plays a pivotal role in increasing the productivity of sugarcane crop.

As part of Dhanuka’s unwavering focus on serving the needs of Indian farmers and strengthening its position in the crop care product segment, following the launch of 6 biologicals, 2 herbicides and 1 insecticide, Tizom is 10th product launched in this financial year.

One of the major advantages of Tizom is that it targets and eliminates weeds while leaving sugarcane crops unharmed. Moreover, Tizom offers prolonged weed control, allowing farmers to enjoy a weed-free environment for an extended duration.

On the part of Nissan Chemical Corporation, Japan, Dr. R.K. Yadav, Managing Director, Nissan Agro Tech India Pvt. Ltd., said his company was committed to provide the best solutions to increase the crop yield which in turn will significantly enhance farmers income.

Mr Y Fukagawa San, General Manager and Head of International Sales Nissan Chemical Japan, said talked about the benefits of using crop solutions. He is instrumental in development of Targa Super and Sempra in India. He is responsible for India business for more than 7 years.

Giving details about the mobile vans, Dr Ajeet Tomar, R&D Head, Dhanuka, said Dhanuka Group is spearheading a nationwide campaign to educate farmers on the importance of using genuine farm inputs and obtaining proper bills.

“These vans will cover various parts of Uttar Pradesh for about 600 days on a fixed pre-decided route. Our team with support from other stakeholders, including dealers will create awareness among farmers on using recommended agri-inputs like pesticides which plays the role of insurance,” he said.

Further, Mr. Amit Mishra, Senior Portfolio Manager for Herbicides at Dhanuka provided more details about Tizom. “Tizom weeds out unwanted plants without harming the sugarcane itself, helping the sugarcane grow bigger and stronger, ultimately leading to a bigger harvest,” he said.

Company has introduced Tizom for the farmers of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and will soon tap other states too.
