One of the most notable changes is the possibility of including petroleum products under the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Currently, petrol, diesel, and natural gas are not covered by GST. They are taxed differently, includes VAT and excise duties. Bringing petroleum under GST could mean a big shift.
Prashant also thinks that the central government could limit the financial independence of the states.
