The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against the Congress party, claiming that a viral video featuring BJP MP Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, is a deepfake.
The video shows Nirahua allegedly stating that both PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath have contributed to solving unemployment by choosing not to have children. This statement is controversial and sensitive.

The BJP has denied the authenticity of the video. Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP’s IT cell, has accused the Congress of sharing this deepfake video.
In response, Nirahua is set to file an FIR against Srinivas BV, the national president of the Indian Youth Congress, for allegedly disseminating the fake video.
