Bhagwat also added that on that date of 22 January 2024, temples all over India can organize functions and programs at their premises to mark the celebration.
Talking at the RSS Dussehra rally, a customary meeting at the Reshimbaug ground in Nagpur, Bhagwat also mentioned that the globe is today taking inspiration from India to overcome its issues. Bhagwat also performed the “Shastra Pooja” on Tuesday.

“A temple of Lord Ram is being built in Ayodhya…Lord Ram (idol) will be installed at the temple on January 22…On that day, we can organise programmes at our own temples in the whole country…,” Bhagwat said to the news agency ANI.
At the G20 Summit, organized by India in September 2023, Bhagwat said that delegates at the summit understood the importance of India’s unity in diversity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to the social media platform X to wish the country on the festival of Dussehra. He wrote, “Best wishes to my family members across the country on Vijayadashami. This holy festival brings the message of ending negative forces as well as adopting goodness in life. Wishing you all a Happy Vijaya Dashami!”
Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his greetings and wrote, “Best wishes to all on ‘Vijayadashami’. No matter how dense the darkness of unrighteousness is, the victory of the light of righteousness based on truth is eternal. Symbolic of the victory of virtue over sin, ‘Vijayadashami’ is a festival that inspires and teaches us to always follow the path of wisdom and truth. May Lord Shri Ram bless everyone. Jai Shri Ram!”
India is celebrating the festival of Vijayadashami, which is also called Dussehra on Tuesday i.e. today, which marks the conclusion of Durga Puja 2023.
Ram Mandir construction is being led by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. The ground-breaking function was held on 5th August 2020 by Modi. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust started the first phase of construction of the Ram Temple in March of 2020.
