Things that will amaze you about Durga Puja 2022 in Kolkata

You might have heard of the story of how and why Ravana, the king of Lanka was killed by Lord Rama and his group. The idea was to establish dharma no matter what. Goddess Sita’s patience was appreciated in waiting for Lord Rama and his team to arrive and kill king Ravana who was almost a demon in the form of a human. It was not that Ravana didn’t have the intelligence or knowledge or strength to defeat Lord Rama. In fact, he had more courage and blessings from the Gods than he had attained in his lifetime, but he was killed by Lord Rama just because of his sinful acts.

His intelligence was misused by him to torture the people below him. His egoistic pride made him want to rule the world and that’s where his end had already started. His rigid thinking that killing others mercilessly and attaining wealth from them will give him the power to rule the world was chastised by the Gods and Goddesses. However, all of them waited for the right time for Lord Rama’s arrival in Lankesh’s life so that he can destroy the entire empire that he had built with his wrongdoings.

Was Lankesh more humane and compassionate towards other beings, he would have lived longer and even got the opportunity to live with respect? However, all his intelligence, knowledge, and powers were looked down upon by others only because he gave the message to the world that no matter how powerful you are if you are not a good human being and keep doing sinful acts, your end will be surely there.

So, let us learn from the festival of Dussehra to practice more good deeds by helping others, understanding our fellow beings, being more compassionate and kinder towards the poor and needy, being a support system to our loved ones, and following our hearts over our calculative brains. Let us follow Ramayana and the lessons that you will learn from them to implement in your daily life.

So, if your employee is not keeping well, offer him a break rather than taunts of delayed work. If your maid is asking for prolonged leave to care for her ill children, be co-operative instead of doubting her intentions. If a beggar asks you for money or food, give them without thinking that he is eating without working hard.
