Today is the birthday of Lord Ganesha all over India. People living in different parts of the country celebrate the festival in varied ways but with the same high energy and enthusiasm. 

The elephant-headed deity, Lord Ganesha’s festival, is called Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi, and the festival is for ten days. Lord Ganesha Pandals is situated with detailed decorations and vibrant Ganesha statues.

Another famous Ganesha pandal is of Khetwadi Cha Ganraj which is situated on the 12th Lane of Khetwadi on Grant Road in Mumbai. It has novel themes and is quite popular for its tallest idol Lord Ganesha. Several social programs are held in the stall.

Ganesh Chaturthi Special: List of Ganesha Prayers

GSB Seva Mandal Ganpati located in King’s Circle in Mumbai again is believed to be the richest pandal in the city. It is because the Gold Ganesha is placed on the pandal and is covered with more than 60 kgs of pure gold that makes it quite attractive.

Andhericha Raja in the Andheri Locality of Mumbai is said to have attracted thousands of devotees every day since 1966.

Started in 1928, Mumbaicha Raja in Ganesh Galli in Mumbai is the ancient and well-known Ganesha pandal in Maharashtra that receives more than 1.2 million visitors. 

Keshavji Naik Chawl Ganpati in Girgaon, Mumbai, was started in 1893 and is said to have a traditional charm and intricately crafted idol.

Established by the visionary Lokmanya Tilak, Girgaon Cha Raja has a tradition of putting an enormous clay and eco-friendly statue of Lord Ganesha in a public spot. 

Also comprehended as Chintamani, Chinchpokli Cha Raja was established in 1920. Discovered at Chinchpokli on Dattaram Lad Marg, this pandal receives more than seven lakh devotees daily. 

Located in Pune, the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati pandal has an immense Lord Ganesha status decorated with mesmerizing decorations.

Ganesh Chaturthi falls yearly on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha. The final day is called the Ganesh Visarjan, where followers submerge the idols in water.

Devotees also observe fast during this time. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will end on September 28, 2023, the day is also called Anant Chaturthi or Ganesh Visarjan.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted people on the event of Ganesh Chaturthi and wished everyone to enjoy the festival that brings good luck, success, and prosperity in their lives.

Several celebrities in Bollywood also extended their heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi to their fans and followers on social media platforms.

Akshay Kumar wrote, “As we welcome Lord Ganesha in our homes and hearts today, may He remove all obstacles and fill our lives with joy and prosperity. Ganpati Bappa Morya! Wish you all a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi with a folded hand emoji”
