New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have attacked the Yogi government over violence and misbehavior with women during the nomination for the election of the block head in Uttar Pradesh and said that there is an atmosphere of anarchy in the state.
“‘Violence’ in Uttar Pradesh has been renamed as ‘Masterstroke’,” Mr Gandhi tweeted on Saturday.
Along with this, he has also posted the cutting of a news in which it is written, “Violence from Kannauj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur Unnao Gorakhpur during the nomination on July 8 in the election of block pramukh under the three-tier panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh.”
Mrs Vadra said, “A few years ago a rape victim raised her voice against a BJP MLA, an attempt was made to kill her and her family. Today BJP has crossed all limits to stop the nomination of a woman. same government, Same behavior.”
The state general secretary in-charge of the Congress has also posted a video in which attempts are being made to forcibly stop a woman from going for nomination and she is being molested.
