BollywoodVivek Agnihotri claims Prabhas' fans are trolling him

Director Vivek Agnihotri is all set for the release of his forthcoming film The Vaccine War. The film will be released in theatres on 28 September 2023. Interestingly, the film was earlier supposed to clash at the box office with the most awaited movie of Indian actor Prabhas, which is Salaar.

India’s COVID-19 vaccine coverage crosses 150 crore

However, the makers of Salaar decided to postpone the film and release it in December which will interestingly clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki. However, Vivek Agnihotri is still in trouble despite the clash with Prabhas film has been avoided.

Vivek Agnihotri appreciates Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan trailer

Let’s know why! In the latest interview, it was reported that Vivek Agnihotri has claimed that the fans of Prabhas were trolling and abusing him when Salaar was going to clash with The Vaccine War.

“The Vaccine War is a small film with no stars, made at Rs 12.5 crore budget. Another film, Salaar, was coming. A huge Rs 300 crore film. Their fans were abusing, trolling me, isko bhagao, nahi aana chaiye… Bhaag koi aur gaya.. They ran away,” Vivek shared with Indian Express.

Vivek also indicated that as Jawan is still running successfully in the theatres, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans have also been abusing him. Although Vivek didn’t mention any name but he also argued that the fans of a huge Bollywood movie are using his daughter’s photos and trolling him. He also said that he is not saying not to watch this and that.

Although The Vaccine War is not getting competition from Salaar at the box office, it is set to face clash from Fukrey 3, which will also release in theatres on the same day.

Vivek while talking about the same said that Fukrey is a comedy and a franchise and has no competition with it. He also mentioned how The Vaccine War and Fukrey are different films and both should work. As the coming weekend is five days due to 28 September being the Anant Chaturdashi holiday and 2nd October being the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri opines that both movies should become superhits.

For the unversed, The Vaccine War is the story of the challenges of Indian scientists who worked hard to develop vaccines against the coronavirus pandemic. The Vaccine War movie features Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi as lead characters. Backed by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 28 this year.

As advance bookings have already started for both films, it will be interesting to note if it can triumph over the existing business of Jawan led by Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in key roles. The Vaccine War is a medical thriller that will reveal the true events that happened in the development of Covaxin during the coronavirus pandemic in India.

Actor Anupam Kher will be playing the role of a cabinet secretary in a special appearance. He wrote on X, “THE VACCINE WAR: “Bharat’s self belief is Sanatan Dharma.” He then continued: “When @vivekagnihotri was making #TheVaccineWar there wasn’t any substantial role for me in it. It is primarily a women scientists film with the only male lead being played by the great #NanaPatekar! I wanted to be associated with this most important film of our times where #IndiaCanDoIt is the theme. Vivek offered me the role of the #CabinetSecretary as a special appearance! Proud to be part of this gem of a film. Releasing on 28th Sept worldwide! Hail women power, Jai Ho!”
