India’s COVID-19 vaccine coverage crosses 150 crore

India has accomplished great figures for vaccination against coronavirus disease in the last one-year timeline. The coronavirus pandemic that took India’s many people’s lives and increased the sicknesses among its citizens started in 2020. It was in 2021 when the vaccination campaign kicked off in the country as a boon to save lives. All classes of people were affected by the pandemic since it began.

Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday appreciated the vaccination campaign as the most successful one in the globe. He stated that the inoculation campaign was started under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an attempt for sabka prayas, which means efforts of all.

He took to Twitter and said that today the world’s largest vaccination campaign finishes one year. This initiative began under the leadership of PM Narendra Modiji with ‘Sabke Prayas’ as the most accomplished vaccination campaign in the globe. He congratulated all the health workers, countrymen, and scientists.

Almost a year back, the nation started its vaccine campaign against the pandemic with the first doses first given to the healthcare workers as they were the frontline workers. Since then, the country has administered above 156.76 crore doses.

If you are someone who has not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 even with one dose, it is better you approach a nearby hospital or vaccination centre and get the required doses. Vaccine against the COVID-19 helps to stop the spread of the virus to others from ourselves. It also protects us from the potential of getting the virus if we come in contact with others.

With the third wave of the pandemic setting in the country, it is vital that we follow all the required procedures like washing hands-on a regular basis, wearing masks properly whenever we go out, and maintaining social distancing.
