Agra (UP): A group of unidentified criminals bumped off a couple in Nagla Ghani village of Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district, the police said on Tuesday. The 35-year-old Rajesh Kumar and his wife 31-year-old Kusum were sleeping in their house when their bodies were riddled with bullets.

After killing the couple, the murderers left a country-made pistol on the spot. The police said that Rajesh was a farmer. The police began an inquiry into the case. The family members of Rajesh said that he and his wife were killed at 2:30am on Tuesday when they were sleeping. The couple had two sons who were sleeping in other rooms. On hearing the sound of gunshots, Rajesh’s father woke up, he saw the bodies of the couple lying in a pool of blood. The bodies were sent for post-mortem.
