Bijnor (UP): The naked body of a 13-year-old boy who went missing on August 2 was recovered from a forest department’s land in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district, the police said on Tuesday. A man identified as Furqan alias Kale had tried to sodomise the teen but when the boy yelled for help, he murdered the child. The criminal has been arrested.

The boy, a resident of Daranagar Ganj, went to see a fair with his friends, but he was untraceable. His body was found a few yards away from the spot where the fair was organised. The family members of the boy lodged a complaint and the police arrested the man who confessed to having committed the crime. He said that he had taken the child to the forest area where he wanted to sodomise him.
