KKR is set to help plant trees in Amphan-affected West Bengal

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for his philanthropic activities. His IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is set to help plant trees in Amphan-affected West Bengal.

As per a report, KKR has decided to plant 5000 trees and contribute to the West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the state deal with the damage caused by the deadly cyclone Amphan.

The severe cyclone has killed 86 people and created havoc in the lives of lakhs of people amid coronavirus lockdown in Kolkata and nearby areas.

During these testing times, Shah Rukh has come forward to work with the officials and contribute to the cause.

Shah Rukh has also donated funds for PM-Cares and Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund to fight the spread of coronavirus.

He also gave his office premises to be utilized as a coronavirus quarantine centre in April 2020.
