An analytical study was done by the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) in that study it was found that an increase in pollution is linked with an increase in the number of patients in emergency rooms.

According to the information received ICMR has also conducted a Delhi-based multi-site study of the increase in air pollution on respiratory death by studying the patients who came to attend the emergency rooms.

As per the official data around thirty-three thousand patients were enlisted and analyzed. Following this, the study suggests that an increase in pollution is linked with an increase in the number of patients in emergency rooms. Through the study, it was also found that the effect on the students is more pronounced.

According to the information received several steps to counter air pollutions issues, MoS Health said the MoHFW had initiated National Program on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH) at National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), to achieve various objectives such as creating awareness, enhance capacity building and to create a competent health sector in the state.

The central government in accordance with the Delhi state government is taking several initiatives to counter the pollution issue as the situation in the capital is getting adverse.
