Lucknow: An army man allegedly molested the daughter of a Colonel in a moving car on October 7 when the girl was going with him to the regional transport office in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, for a driving licence, the police said on Thursday. The Cantonment police registered an FIR against the army man on the grounds of the complaints lodged by the 21-year-old woman.
According to the complainant, the army man was driving the car and she was siting beside him in the front seat of the vehicle. On the way, he tried to molest her, the woman said. She further said that after completing her work at the RTO, she had sent a message to her father that would go to her friend’s house near Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute.
When she was returning home with the army man, he again tried to molest her, the complainant said, adding that she narrated her owes to her father. According to station house officer of Cantonment police station Shiv Charan Lal, an FIR has been registered against the culprit and before starting an inquiry into the case, the cops will take the statements of the woman as well as of the accused.
