Ganesh Chaturthi starts from tomorrow i.e. 10 September and will end on 19 September this year. Just sometime back, I read an update of the state I am living in i.e. of Maharashtra, which states that the government of Maharashtra has announced that no physical darshans to Ganpati pandals will be allowed throughout the state, and people are requested to go by online darshans in order to avoid crowding and possible the third wave coming in the state.
No gathering, processions on Ganesh Chaturthi in Delhi: DDMA
We are living in a state of shock actually since the coronavirus pandemic started last year. Like we are encountering new updates about how we should live, interact, work, and what not on a daily basis and that adaptability to change is not something that everyone has, leading to stress and disappointment among the people. I really don’t know how people are coping up with these changing times but all I am doing to manage the changes in my life is by staying indoors.
I celebrated my third wedding anniversary just recently by being at home only and we both decided to go for a quiet celebration with prayers in our minds for those affected due to the pandemic crisis so that they can heal naturally in their own space and time. Also tomorrow, I plan to celebrate a quiet birthday of Lord Ganesha by writing Om Gam Ganpataye Namaha or Om Ganeshaya Namaha 108 times on a daily basis till Anant Chaturdashi.

I will keep the written mantra in a book or some pages of a book and submit them to Lord Ganesha when the temples reopen in the long run. It is my way of celebrating and showing my devotion to Lord Ganesha who I hope comes this year to give loads of happiness and removes all the sorrows, obstacles from people’s lives. Strength and peace of mind are what is the need of the hour and with my every written prayer, I ask Lord Ganesha to give people bliss and peace.
