Woman recovers from Corona infection in Bangalore, again infected

Bengaluru: A case of re-infection of coronavirus has been reported at Fortis Hospital in Bengaluru. It is being described as the first case of its kind in Bengaluru. A 27-year-old woman was found infected with corona in July. He was discharged from the hospital after recovering. The hospital’s official statement said that tests conducted on the woman showed that she had not developed any immunity to coronavirus.

Hospital doctor Prateek Patil said, ‘Usually in case of infection, the covid immunoglobulin G antibody test comes back positive after 2-3 weeks of infection (showing that the patient has developed covid-fighting cells). However, in this case, the antibody test has turned negative, which means that immunity did not occur in his body after being infected. Another possibility is that the antibodies disappeared within a month, which led to re-infection. After re-infection, its symptoms are mild.
