Lucknow: The outbreak of Corona epidemic is increasing in Uttar Pradesh, the number of deaths is increasing continuously. Today, 6777 new cases were registered in the state. UP Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that 77 people died due to covid in the last 24 hours. At present, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 61,625.
So far 2 lakh 738 people have been discharged while 3920 people have died due to infection so far. So far, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 266283. According to ACS Health, 1 lakh 55 thousand 846 sample tests were done today, while 65 lakh 969 sample tests have been done in the state so far. There are 32094 infected home isolations in the state at present.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to increase covid-19 testing capacity in the state at the earliest and to take one and a half lakh tests per day. Yogi said that until no effective drug or vaccine is developed by covid-19, maximum testing is the biggest weapon against it. Therefore, efforts should be continued to increase the testing work.
