Preparations for burial of bodies in New York parks

New York: America’s New York is the most affected by the Corona virus than any city in the world. On Tuesday (April 7), the number of corona virus cases in the US reached 367,629, while 10941 people infected with covid-19 died. New York accounts for 30 percent of cases and only 45 percent of deaths. There are 1.31 lakh cases in New York so far and 4758 people have died. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo cautioned that the infection in New York could kill about 16,000 people.

According to the news published in the Guardian, Mark D. Levine, chairman of the City Council Health Committee of New York City, has insisted on making alternatives to the morgue. He has said that due to the corona virus dead, the bodies have become so much that all the morgues of the city are full. Temporary mass graves in the public park are being considered. Although the corpses will be buried in which park, it is not yet clear. Levine also tweeted about the mass grave in the park. In a tweet, he wrote, “Under this, 10 coffins will be buried in a line and this will be done in a very respectful manner.”

Apart from them, Mayor Bill de Blasio is also considering a mass grave. He said that no such plans have been made so far, but such is the idea. He said, “If we find such a need to overcome the crisis, it will be done.”

Members of the White House Task Force said that calculations based on new data suggest that there are now less than 100,000 deaths from the virus. Earlier calculations had said that 1,00,000 and 200,000 people in the country could be killed by the virus.

US President Donald Trump said at a regular press conference at the White House that the new prevention strategy has given hope.
