Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, 27 people died due to thunderstorms, rain and lightning strikes. The highest number of seven people died in Unnao. Expressing condolences on these deaths, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to provide immediate relief amount of Rs four lakh each to the families of those who died. He has given complete relief to the affected people and has given instructions for proper treatment of the injured in the disaster.
The weather worsened seven people in Unnao, five each in Rae Bareli and Kannauj, three in Agra and one each in Lucknow, Kanpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Muzaffarnagar and Mainpuri. The Relief Commissioner’s Office has confirmed a total of 20 deaths. 10 injured in Firozabad. Three were injured and 10 animals died in Agra. Three kutcha houses and a hut collapsed. There are also reports of 20 animals dying in Mainpuri. Apart from this, one person has been reported injured in Pilibhit.
