New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of Yoga and Ayurveda in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. He told that doing yoga in the midst of corona crisis can be extremely beneficial. PM Modi said that many leaders of the world are interested in Yoga and Ayurveda at this time.

World leaders showed interest in yoga
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “In this era of Corona crisis, many leaders of the world have interacted.” When many leaders of the world interact, I see that these days, they are very much interested in Yoga and Ayurveda. Some leaders asked me how Yoga and Ayurveda can help in this era of Corona?

Yoga from Hollywood to Haridwar
He said, as yoga is connecting with people’s lives, awareness of their health is also continuously increasing among people. Right now, even during the Corona crisis, it is seen that while living at home, from Hollywood to Haridwar, people are paying serious attention to yoga. People everywhere have wanted to know more about Yoga and Ayurveda as well as Ayurveda. Many people who have never done yoga, have either joined online yoga classes or are also learning yoga through online videos. In fact yoga is good for the community, immunity and unity.

Yoga makes the respiratory system stronger
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, in this time of corona crisis, yoga is more important because this virus affects our respiratory system the most. In yoga, there are many types of pranayama that strengthen the respiratory system, which we have been seeing for a long time. Kapalbhati and Anulom-vilom Pranayam will be familiar to most people. But there are many types of pranayama such as Bhastrika, Sheetali, Bhramari which also has many benefits.
