New Delhi: Although the dates of elections in Bihar have not been announced yet, the electoral operations have started. Since the epidemic of Corona is also increasing continuously, the Election Commission is also preparing accordingly. Now it has been reported that in Bihar elections, voters will use wooden stick instead of thumb, this information has been given by the state Chief Electoral Officer HR Srinivas.

The Bihar State Election Commission on Wednesday said that corona virus patients and those who are above 65 years of age will be allowed to vote from home or use postal ballots in the elections to be held later this year.

According to Srinivas, those who choose to go to the polling booth to vote, will be given small wooden sticks to press the EVM button as part of the effort to stop the spread of Covid-19. He told that if a voter is not wearing a mask, then he will be given a three-ply Khadi mask from the Election Commission for free. Suitable arrangements will be made for hand washing and anti-bacterial hand gloves will also be provided.
