Bharat Biotech submits all necessary documents to WHO to join EUL

New Delhi: Bharat Biotech handed over all the necessary documents to WHO to be included in the EUL, India Biotech expressed the hope that soon the World Health Organization will include the vaccine in the Emergency Use List (EUL). The company said that all the documents required for the EUL of Covaxin have been handed over to the WHO by 9 July. Now the review process has started with the hope that we will get EUL from WHO at the earliest.

Significantly, Covaxin is India’s indigenous corona vaccine. It is being manufactured by Bharat Biotech. In the ongoing vaccination campaign in India, this vaccine is playing a leading role in the fight against Corona. Let us tell you that a few days ago, WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Viswanathan had said that a decision on including Covaxin in the EUL can be taken in four to six weeks.

Swaminathan, while addressing a webinar organized by the Center for Science and Environment (CSE) on July 9, said that Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of the vaccine, is uploading all its data on our portal and WHO is reviewing this vaccine.
