PM Modi to launch 22 interesting projects in Manipur today

Manipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching and putting up the foundation stone of almost 22 development projects in the capital city of Manipur today. These projects are worth Rs. 4,800 crore that will be inaugurareted in Imphal today. Out of these 22 projects, a total of 13 projects will be launched for a worth of nearly Rs. 1,850 crore and 9 projects will be laid foundation of worth Rs. 2,950 crores.

As per the statement released by the office of the Prime Minister, the projects come from different sectors in the state of Manipur that has been poll-bound. The projects include drinking water supply, urban development and health, road infrastructure, housing and skill development.

Modi will be setting up a steel bridge over Baral River on NH-37, which has been set up at a cost of over Rs. 75 crore. As per the PMO, the infrastructure will help conduct seamless year-round connection to Silchar in Assam from Imphal and lower the traffic congestion.

It is really astonishing to note that a total of 2,387 mobile towers are set up at a cost of around Ara. 1,110 crore that will also be launched. PM Modi will also launch many projects worth Rs. 396 crore that are related to clean and continuous supply of drinking water to each house in Imphal, Senapati and Tamenglong districts.

On Monday, PM Modi said on Twitter that he will also be setting up a Covid-19 hospital on Manipur to improve the healthcare problems in the state. As per the PMO, the 200-bed hospital will be situated in Kiyamgei and has been made at the worth of Rs 37 crore in association with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

It can be noted how Manipur is set to get into elections na this year with BJP – Modi’s political party trying to make a comeback in the state.
