Agra (UP); A TV journalist from Delhi was trolled on social media on Wednesday when in a video clip was seen entering a temple with a saffron scarf around his shoulder and accepting a tilak on his forehead. He was in the temple to cover a religious event in Agra, sources said.

Some locals even called up his family members and threatened them. The 40-year-old journalist Naseem Ahmed works for the TV channel from Agra. When he went to the temple in the city, someone clicked his photograph and uploaded it on social media. Immediately after that, netizens began to troll him. According to superintendent of police Vikas Kumar, the police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case against a man named Mohammed Imran and six others who shared the video clip and made abusive comments on social media. Investigations are on, he said, adding that the accused have been booked under various of the Indian Penal Code. Meanwhile, a police team raided various places to arrest the accused, but they were at large.
