Etawah: A youth fired six shots at a female teacher of a primary school at Ikdil, Etawah district, Uttar Pradesh and then committed suicide, the police said on Wednesday. The injured woman has been admitted to a private hospital in the district where the doctors said her condition was critical.
According to relatives of the injured women, some passers-by saw her lying in an unconscious state on the road and informed them. After sending a message to the woman’s family, they also informed the police about the incident.
On getting information, policemen along with a forensic team rushed to the spot and began to investigate the case. Senior superintendent of police Jai Prakash Singh and district magistrate Avanish Kumar Rai also rushed to the spot.
Rai said the police came to know that a woman had been shot at and, after that, they found the body of the youth. He said that the injured woman and the youth were acquainted with each other and that the police were investigating the case.
