Else, they would launch an agitation. The parents of the child are construction workers. The boy, rushed to a hospital, underwent a surgery, but the doctors could not save him.
Noida (UP): The stray dogs mauled a one-year-old boy at Lotus Boulevard Society of Sector 100 in Noida area of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, the police said on Tuesday. The dogs tore out the intestine of the child. The incident rattled the people of the area, and they appealed to authorities to take action to stop stray dog menace. Else, they would launch an agitation, locals said. The police said that the child’s father Rajesh Kumar was working at a road construction site along with his wife, Sapna.
She went to the place of work leaving the child to his brother. A pack of dogs, meanwhile, attacked him. As his brother raised an alarm, the parents of the child rushed to the spot and shooed away the dogs and sent the child to a hospital where he underwent a surgery, but the doctors could not save his life.
It is, however, not an isolated incident. On April 22 this year, a pack of dogs attacked two children aged seven and five years in Lucknow’s Musaheb Ganj area. While one of them died on the spot, another suffered from injuries. On June 1 this year, a pack of dogs attacked two children at AGB layout on Hesaraghatta road in Bengaluru.
Similarly, on April 30 this year, stray dogs left 39 people, including 17 tourists and 22 locals injured at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
Because of the rising number of stray dogs, the roads in the country have become unsafe. Authorities take the stray dogs away for sterilisation and release them back. After that, they become more ferocious than they were and attack humans, said locals.
