Meerut: A shocking incident was reported in Meerut where four persons were allegedly battering a pregnant woman in the presence of her minor children.
The video of the heinous incident went viral on social media, following which the police took action against the four accused.
According to the information received the case has been of money lending, and the four men in the video have already been detained. After the incident happened the woman was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, her condition is stable now, said an official.
The police officials said that the goons badly thrashed the woman and her husband aged 32 years because they failed to pay back the loan with interest that they had borrowed in 2017. The husband work as a daily wager in the Bhagwatpura locality in Meerut.
The main accused in the case was identified as Ashok Kumar. He had three other associates in the process. The goons gushed into the house and started thrashing the family and even attacked their children who were one and three years old respectively. The residents of the locality shot a video of the incident and uploaded it to social media.
The accused Ashok Kumar is involved in house capturing, initially, he lends money with interest and later threatens to throw away the occupants.
