A doctor has been booked and a ward boy arrested for violating a woman at a government hospital in Lucknow. An auto-rickshaw driver, along with another person, violated a minor girl behind Ekana international stadium in the city on Saturday. Within 24 hours, a 52-year-old woman filed a complaint that staff members of an Ashram violated her on October 4. A 15-year-old girl complained on Tuesday that her online friend had violated her at Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar area of the city.

Lucknow (UP): A ward boy of a government hospital has been arrested and a doctor booked in connection with an incident of gangrape, official sources said on Thursday. The incident occurred at a government hospital located in posh Mahanagar area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on April 30 when the woman visited the hospital for a check-up, but the incident came to light after she recently lodged a complaint at the Mahanagar police station.

In the complaint, she said that the duo tranquilised her before violating her. According to deputy commissioner of police (north) SM Qasim Abidi, an FIR has been registered against the doctor and the word boy at the Mahanagar police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The doctor, however, said that she had come to the hospital and was referred to another health facility, but he never met the woman after that.

In the past five days, this is the fourth incident of rape that has cropped up in the state capital. An auto-rickshaw driver, along with another person, violated a minor girl behind Ekana international stadium in the city on Saturday. A 15-year-old girl complained on Tuesday that her online friend had violated her at Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar area of the city.

The police registered complaints but yet to track down the culprits in connection with these cases.
