Man shot dead over drawing water for irrigation in UP village

Aligarh: A clash between the members of two families over irrigating a farmland led to the killing of a man and injuries to another Shevazpour village under Vijaygarh police station, the police said on Sunday. A 40-year-old farmer Manoj Sharma has a tube well and his relatives wanted to irrigate their fields by drawing from it.

When Sharma refused, his relatives got angry. They, with other members of families, began to shoot at Sharma who died on the spot. A passer-by was injured in the incident. The police arrested some people in connection with the incident.
