Covid-19 update: All government offices closed for a week in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has taken a major step to ward off the corona virus. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced the closure of all government offices for 7 days. The number of people infected with the corona virus across the country is 129 while 3 people have also died.

Maharashtra has the maximum 39 people infected with Corona and 1 has died. The Nehru Science Center in Mumbai will remain closed for visitors from 16 to 31 March 2020, in view of the increasing cases of corona.

A 64-year-old man from Mumbai, infected with the Corona virus, died on Tuesday. This is the first case of death from Covid-19 in Maharashtra. BMC chief Pravin Pardeshi said that the deceased was undergoing treatment at the Government Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai. Apart from being infected with the corona virus, he also had other health problems. Earlier, the Health Ministry had reported that one person died of corona virus in Maharashtra. In India, the number of people who died due to infection with this virus has increased to three.
