Uttarakhand Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched India’s longest single-lane motorable suspension bridge in Tehri Garhwal district to celebrate the state’s 21st foundation day recently.
Trivendra introduced the 725-metre long Dobra-Chanti suspension bridge and the event also witnessed the presence of Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat and others.
The bridge was opened for public use from Sunday. It has been constructed in a period of 14 years over the Tehri lake with a budget of ₹2.95 crore.
The bridge aims to be improve connectivity between Pratap Nagar town and Tehri Garhwal district headquarters
The minister hopes the bridge over the Tehri lake to open more development opportunities for the state and attract more tourists in the near future.
