Tech Desk – YouTube made some interesting announcements at Google for India event. The company get ready to launch Courses in India but currently testing the subscription-based model. It will allow select creators to offer multi-session courses for learning a skill. YouTube hasn’t revealed any official launch for courses yet.
Youtube is already the world’s largest education platform, but this will help creators to offer a more in-depth learning experience.
The courses are another way of monetization available to creators, where they can offer multi-session video tutorials dedicated to one topic. Users can upskill themselves with the help of these courses. With the help of this, creators can upload supplementary learning notes such as PDF, PNG files, etc.
Auto-dubbing on health videos
YouTube will also support auto-dubbing with the help of the Aloud feature for health-related videos. It is an auto-dubbing service powered by machine learning and AI. However, hospitals such as Apollo, Max Hospitals, etc are currently using Aloud. There are five languages supported, for now, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
