Tech Desk – IIT Madras-incubated firm launches BharOS a mobile operating system with the help of JandK Operations Private Limited. The developers announced that this can benefit the country’s 100 crore mobile phone users and provide a more secure experience to users.

Key Features Of BharOS

BharOS is a mobile operating system, focused on providing users with more freedom, control, and flexibility. It promises to revolutionize the way users think about security and privacy on their mobile devices.

This mobile operating system comes with No Default Apps (NDA) which means users will get most of the storage space, unlike Android. Also, with this one won’t be forced to use apps that they may not be familiar with.

Users will be able to receive ‘Native Over The Air (NOTA) updates and developers assert that NOTA updates are automatically downloaded and installed on the device.

The OS offers access to trusted apps from organization-specific Private App Store Services (PASS). Through this users can be confident that the apps they are installing are safe to use.

But, it is provided to only those organizations that have stringent privacy and security requirements.
